I am still plugging along on Easy Street. It is actually on my “Design Floor”, and the A blocks are in various stages of putting them together on my sewing table.
Below is one of the quilts I am pondering and playing with settings for. The gorgeous embroidered blocks are from Hilary in Texas and are the leftovers from her wall quilt. I want to make a wall hanging also, but am playing with design ideas. Those two large center blocks are about 27″ square, so I am trying to figure out a layout that is not too long and skinny!
Above is layout 1.
and Layout 4 above. What do you all think? Any ideas on other ways to set them or which you like best?
I will have to purchase fabric to finish this as I have no pastel or soft florals in my stash at all that would work with these.
Clark’s quilt is also in the works for this week…..
Here it is with the blocks all sewn into rows. I will sew the rows together this week and then need to make the binding and get it on the longarm.
One thing you can’t see from the overall picture is that there are more stars than just the red-striped ones.
Here you can see a red-striped star and a blue polka dot star. These are all nautical fabrics and will go well with my brother’s family’s love of the lake!
Also on the agenda for this week is the binding for Grandma’s Bowtie Blues. Busy week ahead of me for sure!
Go see what everyone else is working on over at Patchwork Times!

I think I like your first option for the floral wall-hanging best. Clark’s quilt is looking good so far!
I love your layout #2 because it has great possibilities for some exciting quilting. All your projects are beautiful!!
I prefer layout #1 as well.
I, too, prefer #1 but like #2 also!! Will be beautiful when you get this done. I, too, am workingon Easy Street. Just 34 more blocks to go!!
really pretty quilts you are working on . I love the colors/fabrics for easy street. I think that your brother’s quilt is really cool. I have to say I like the 4th layout in your flower blocks. I like the open spaces to quilt.
Well, I really like layout 3. I likd the large blocks separated so they shine and the little ones get special notice.
