I so can’t believe June is here already! It finally feels like summer also…..
We lost a good friend this weekend. Ursula was the wife of one of The Hunter’s best friends. She had been fighting colon cancer for five years and had been on chemo of various kinds for most of that time. They traveled from the Lake of the Ozarks area down to Tulsa or to Houston for treatment every three weeks. She and Marty have two sons that are in their teens. The visitation was last night and the funeral this morning. We will all miss her greatly.
I have a pretty dismal Accountability Report for you all….I got absolutely nothing quilting related finished! I did get about 40 tomatoes, two rows of beans, and a row of beets planted as it has finally dried out enough to work the ground.
Last week’s goals –
- Quilt Jeannine’s quilt – NOPE
- MQS post – NOPE
- First Saturday block – NOPE
- Get another customer quilt loaded – NOPE
I have no pictures to show either. My schedule and Reva’s has not coincided enough for her to pick up her quilt yet.
This week’s goals –
- Quilt Jeannine’s quilt
- MQS post
- First Saturday block – must be done by Friday!
- Get another customer quilt loaded
Does that list look familiar? Wish me luck with our summer schedule!
How is your quilting going? Have you been as busy as I have? Let us know if we can help!

Here is Mister Linky – join in the fun anytime – just for a week or a month or the rest of the year… let us know what you have accomplished. We would love to have you join us!
I will check in with you later this evening!
I’m sorry to hear about your friend. Sometimes life gets in the way of our quilting. You just have to roll with it, and pick up again later, just as you are doing. Great news on the garden, though!
I am sorry to hear about your friend.

Some things are way more important than quilting sometimes . . . if only we never had the bad ones happen . . . still I don’t know how you get everything done.
