Time to choose just one project to get finished up for my March Lovely Year of Finishes.
I am picking one of my oldest UFO’s to finish up. Last month I worked on the borders –
and decided to go with the brown. The fun boot fabric is pieced into the back along with more of the brown.
Cows for Deb is now on the machine and I have almost finished the light cream quilting.
I want to get this quilted and bound and off to Deb….a little late (since I started this prior to 2002!) but better late than never!
Go visit Bittersweet Designs or Fiber of all Sorts to see what everyone else is working on this month!
Remember my project for this month? I linked it up with Melissa at Sew BitterSweet Designs at the beginning of the month here (#39).This is Charlotte’s quilt and it needed the binding hand stitched down and a label prior to being shipped off. I finished it up pretty easily, thankfully!
Here is the whole quilt. I fell in love with the cat fabric!
I used a wonderfully cuddly pink and white flannel on the back. Little Charlotte lives near Cleveland and the extra cuddle factor is very important!
Here it is, folded and ready to be packed in the Hunter’s travel bag. He left Monday for Cleveland and a visit with Charlotte’s dad.
I am so excited to finally get this off the list and headed for a wonderful little girl!
I have linked up with Sew BitterSweet Designs Finishes Party here. Don’t forget to go visit both Sew BitterSweet Designs and at Fiber of All Sorts and see what everyone else has finished up!
I can’t believe it is February already and time for another goal to get finished this month!
I am choosing a simple but important one. I need to get Charlotte’s quilt finished up because the Hunter is traveling this month and will be visiting Charlotte’s dad. That is definitely and incentive!
I have to hand stitch the binding down, make and put on a label, and wash it and it will be good to go!
Don’ t forget to go see what everyone else’s goals are for the month at Sew Bitter Sweet Designs!
I have finished the UFO that I selected for this month for the Lovely Year of Finishes! This is a baby quilt for a new niece who was born in early December.
This is Kendall’s quilt – bound and labeled. I still need to wash it before I give it to her, but the washing machine was full of clothes and it will get done later today!
Sorry about the picture looking wonky. The quilt is actually square, but I have had to move a TV to the wall where I normally hang my quilts to take pictures of them. This TV is one of the huge old-fashioned, heavy ones, and I can’t move it by myself to take pictures, so it is making the lower right hand side of the quilt stick out, causing the curve on that side of the quilt. Oh well!
I also need to update my totals for my UFO Busting efforts so am also linking up to Vicki Welsh’s UFO Busting January report. Looking at my stats, it appears I don’t have this quilt as well as one other on my “Open Project” list, which means my net “Open Projects” number is going up one from last month!
- Open projects – 27
- Projects finished since last link up – 1
- Projects started since my last link up – 0
Hop on over to the finish party here or go over and visit Shanna at Fiber of All Sorts and Melissa of Sew BitterSweet Designs to see what everyone else has accomplished with their Lovely Year of Finishes. Then go visit Vicki at Field Trips in Fiber for some more fun!
I will also eventually link this to the 2015 first quarter Finish-A-Long to get it counted for a finish! Yay!
I know, long time, no see. I can only say I have been busy, and posting on the blog has not been a part of it…..I hope to post more often, but with just short snapshots of what is going on. I get behind, then think I have way too much to catch everyone up on and it will take forever, so I don’t post anything. Small, short posts – quick glimpses into my crazy life, that is what I am going with this year!
First off – I am joining up with 2015 A Lovely Year Of Finishes, courtesy of Shanna at Fiber of All Sorts and Melissa of Sew BitterSweet Designs. I REALLY need to finish some stuff up so am praying this will motivate me to get some done. Plus it is attainable….one thing a month!
Here is January’s project – a baby quilt for a nephew’s new daughter.
It has been sitting around for a while now and I need to finish up the binding and label. Surely I can get that done by the end of the month!
